Your day, your call

Lifari only works if people feel safe filming a real day. This page explains what we hold, what we show and what you can undo.

Pilot notice. This describes how the private pilot works today and is written to be read, not to be a finished legal document. Have it reviewed before any public launch.

The short version

You film one ordinary day. It compiles into a private preview that only you can watch. Nothing becomes visible to anyone else unless you press publish, and you can reverse that at any time.

When you do publish, viewers see the finished film and the broad details you chose — occupation, general location, age range, mood and your description. They do not see your name, your email address, your precise location, or your individual raw clips.

What we collect

  • If you put your name on the founding-hundred sheet: your name, email, the kind of phone you carry, and a rough location (a city or country you type, or that we fill from a location button). We do not store a street address.
  • Your email address and password, so you can sign in. Passwords are hashed and we never see them.
  • An optional display name, which stays on your private account and is not shown to viewers.
  • The video moments you record, and the time each one was captured, which is what puts your day in order.
  • The framing details you enter about a day: occupation, broad location, age range, mood and description.
  • Your recording preferences — which weekdays suit you, your typical day window and your timezone — so invitations and reminders arrive at sensible times.
  • Basic playback events, such as whether a published day was watched to the end. These are aggregate and are never shown to other users.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your data, and we do not run advertising.
  • We do not build a public profile for you. There are no follower counts, likes, comments or direct messages.
  • We do not share your identity with viewers of your day.
  • We do not ask the waitlist for your precise location. If you use the location button, we keep a city-level place, not a pin on your house.

Where it is stored

Accounts and day records are held in a managed PostgreSQL database provided by Supabase. Video is stored and delivered through Cloudinary. Both are third-party processors acting on our instructions.

During the pilot, data lives in a separate environment from any future production service, and pilot data is not copied into it.

Your control

  • Unpublish a day and it leaves discovery immediately, while your private preview remains.
  • Delete a day permanently and both the database record and the underlying video files are removed.
  • Pause recording invitations at any time from your profile, without leaving the pilot.
  • Ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it by emailing the address below.

Filming other people

Please only film people who know they are being filmed and are happy about it, and avoid capturing screens, documents, house numbers or vehicle plates. Automated redaction is not part of the pilot build, so this one genuinely relies on your judgement.

If you appear in a day published by someone else and want it taken down, email us and we will remove it.
